The international organization for Standardization (ISO) in November 2007 formulated the quality management system standards for cosmetics industry, that is, ISO22716:2007 cosmetics good production practices (Cosmetics-Good Manufacturing Practices).

International cosmetics Regulatory Cooperation Organization (International Cooperation on Cosmetic Regulation, ICCR) is an international organization composed of the U.S. Food and drug administration, the Japanese Ministry of health, the European Union and the European Commission enterprise administration of Health Canada's Government Supervision Department of cosmetics. ICCR held its second meeting in Washington, DC, in July 2008. At the meeting, regulators agreed to implement the ISO 22716 standards as much as possible in their respective regions. The details are as follows: the United States agrees to consider the ISO 22716 international standards and the existing guidelines for the revision of the FDA. The EU will implement the European Union Standardization Committee (European Committee for Standardization, CEN) will pass the TC 217/ISO 22716 international standards. Canada agrees to consider ISO 22716 international standards and expects to adopt ICCR-3's voluntary GMP standards. Japan informed the local government, the Japanese Chemical Industry Association (Japan Chemical Industry Association, JCIA) using ISO 22716 international standards.

Today, the international organization for standardization has also launched the cosmetics standard " ISO22716" for golden skin cosmetics standards.
